Indiana Geospatial Coordinate System (InGCS) Workshop

Source: INDOT Construction & Materials Management

The INDOT Land & Aerial Survey Office will be conducting a workshop on the new Indiana Geospatial Coordinate System that has been adopted and currently available in various geospatial software now. For those not familiar with the system, it is a collection of low distortion projections for geospatial practitioners (i.e. people that use coordinate systems for mapping, design, construction, GIS, etc) who perform work for the state (or privately) that addresses the grid-to-ground issues encountered when using the Indiana SPCS. The next centrally located workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13th at the Indianapolis Subdistrict Unit located at 7105 Brookville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46239. The workshop will start at 9 am and run to approx. noon.

Please RSVP to Eric Banschbach as soon as possible to reserve a seat.
