
ICLI

Indiana Constructors, Inc. created the Indiana Constructors Leadership Institute (ICLI) to prepare the next generation of heavy, highway and utility construction industry leaders. The program has 60 graduates since its inception in 2019.
The program shares industry-specific knowledge from technical expertise to soft skills. Focus areas include: association advocacy and legislative impacts, communications and negotiation skills, INDOT relations, construction finance, safety and more.
Program Guidelines
Participants for the ICLI program must be:
- Employed by a current ICI member company.
- Nominated by their employer.
- Supported and approved by their employer’s senior management.
- On track to become a next-generation, executive-level leader within their organization.
In addition, participants must commit to attending every class, at least one ICI Board of Directors meeting and the ICI annual membership meeting.
There is a $500 participant fee that includes programming, materials and food/beverage. Participants will be responsible for one hotel room night for the January Kickoff Retreat, as well as any additional travel expenses during the program.
Application Process
The 2026 ICLI application opens Aug. 27, 2025. The fillable PDF that includes form fields, so applicants can complete it electronically (preferred) or print and fill out the paper copy.
The 2026 ICLI application deadline is Friday, October 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM EDT. Only complete applications will be accepted. After program participants are selected, each candidate will receive an email informing them of their application status. This email will provide additional information for accepted participants, as well as a link to pay the program fee online.
