The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is seeking comments about Hoosier environmental regulations and policies that may be overly burdensome to individuals, businesses, communities and industries.

Highway projects must be designed and constructed under Indiana’s Construction Stormwater General Permit (GSGP) rules and guidance for projects that include one or more acres of land disturbance. The GSGP contains requirements and guidance such as the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3), certifications needed for SWP3 developer and inspector duties, best management practice tools and procedures to control sediment and erosion, concrete wash-out criteria, vegetation and hazardous material storage.

Submit comments to efficiency@idem.IN.gov on or before June 30.
