ASSOCIATION NEW HIRES TAKE ON TOP INDUSTRY PRIORITIES

(INDIANAPOLIS) Indiana Constructors, Inc., the trade association representing Indiana’s highway, heavy and utility construction industry, is pleased to announce and welcome two additions to its staff in two new positions.

Ashley Aiken is the manager of safety and transportation issues, focusing on industry work zone safety initiatives and public policy development. She joins the staff after working for the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute as director of research and planning. Aiken has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice/criminology and psychology from Ball State University, graduating in 2009. She has a master’s degree in public administration with a criminal justice concentration from Ball State, graduating in 2011.

Julia Polston is the new manager of talent development, focusing externally on industry workforce development and internally on leadership development. Polston was previously communications director for HIS Management Corporation. She graduated from IUPUI in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with an American Sign Language minor. Committed to giving back to her community, Polston is involved in: Indianapolis American Heart Association’s Hard Hats with Heart, Indianapolis American Heart Association’s Young at Heart, Young Professionals of Shelby County, Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation, Central Indiana Women’s Business Center, Leadership Shelby County Project Team Coach and Backyard Shelby. Additionally, she is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Shelby County.
