In early 2020, the onset of COVID-19 interrupted the ICI Safety Program Awards process. But we still want to recognize our members safety achievements and resume the 2020 ICI Safety Awards.

For this to happen, we have had to reassess the process. And to make it more inclusive of the entire ICI membership, we’ve expanded the range of worker hours worked to five categories, including a category for 75,000 or fewer annual worker hours.

Below is the 2020 application. Before you begin, you may want to take the time to gather PDFs of required (OSHA 300 logs for 2017, 2018 and 2019, your corporate safety plan) and optional (sample site-specific jobsite safety plans, project pre-task plans, new hire orientation sign-off sheets, toolbox talks, near miss documentation, good catch programs) documents.

Due to the limited amount of time for the safety award evaluations, we have cut out the traditional supervisor and on-site worker surveys from the assessment process. Instead, ICI will conduct on-site project site safety observations, including discussions with foremen and supervisors, as part of the evaluation process. We’ll ask each applicant to provide a project list and site contacts for an unannounced site safety observation.

Please note: You do not have to complete this application in one sitting, but the key to saving your work is to click on the NEXT button at the bottom of each application page. If you do not click on the NEXT button, your work will not be saved. After clicking on the NEXT button, you can navigate away from this page and return later to pick up where you left off. Your application isn’t complete until you click the DONE button at the end of the third page. After you click the DONE button, you will not be able to edit your application.
