IndyGo releases bid packages for Red Line Bus Rapid Transit Project

The Red Line is a 13.1-mile-long initial operating segment with 28 stations. The corridor runs along College Avenue from 66th Street south to 38th Street, west on 38th Street to Meridian Street, south on Meridian Street to 18th Street, west on 18th Street to Capitol Avenue, south on Capitol Avenue and Illinois Street to Maryland, east on Washington Street and Maryland to Delaware, Delaware between Washington Street and Virginia Avenue, continuing south on Virginia Avenue to Shelby Street, and continuing south on Shelby Street to Hanna Avenue.

Two bid packages are included: one for civil work and the other for station work. Vendors are invited to bid on one or both.

Phase I Project Description: Solicitation consists of two packages of work: General Construction Contract Package A – Civil (Package A) and General Construction Contract Package B – Facilities (Package B). The Owner will also consider proposals from bidders to combine the two packages A and B, reflected in the Bid Documents as Alternate No. 2 to Package A, Alternate No. 1 to Package B, and Package A+B

Written Questions Due – October 3, 3:00 p.m.
IPTC Responses Due – October 12
Bids Due – November 13, 2:00 p.m.
Bids Opening – November 13, 2:30 p.m.
IPTC Board Meeting – December 7, 5:00 p.m.

There will be a pre-bid conference on September 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time consisting of a review of the project. Refer to the Project Manual Specification Section 002513 Pre-Bid Conference for a complete description including place and time.
